Environmental Award 2003

We were delighted to announce our winning of the West Lothian Award for Environmental Achievement 2003 in recognition of our contribution to effective environmental management.

The judges highlighted a number of practices including the re-use of incoming packaging, the shredding of all paper into packaging material, the use of energy efficient light bulbs throughout our premises, entrance roads and hard standing made from recycled road scalpings and the long term stocking of spare parts allowing equipment sold up to 15 years ago still to be repaired and rendered serviceable.

The ease of use and effectiveness of our website were officially recognised when we were chosen as a finalist in the Winners at the Web Awards 2002. Special mention was given to the facility to download full colour brochures on most of the equipment and products shown on our website.

The occasion was marked by a dinner and presentation ceremony held in Glasgow and hosted by television presenter Jackie Bird.
